Don’t force yourself into a single program- jog one day, go to the gym the next, swim, bike, or go to an exercise class. Start drinking water right now. Most people don’t drink enough water anyway, and during weight loss water is essential to staying healthy.

To figure out how much water you need, divide your weight by two and drink that many ounces of water a day. Use a diet plan, or just change your diet to include healthy foods- fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and grains should replace fast food or prepackaged items.

To keep the weight off, you will need to make lifestyle changes like these permanent. Get a good amount of sleep each night. Not sleeping enough causes increases in stress hormones which can negate the weight loss effect you are going for.
